The area on which the two wrestlers fight each other. It can be square (no less than 11yd or no greater than 13yd on all sides) or, for international contests, has a circular area which measures 10yd in diameter. There is a center circle 3.3ft in diameter and a mat area around the wrestling area which is at least 5.5yd wide.
