Duration of the match

This varies according to the standard of the match. In Test Match cricket, each side has two innings over a five-day period, each day’s play lasting for approximately six hours (see above). In domestic cricket, league matches are played over a three or four-day period. One-day games are played over two innings, one for each side, and each team has the same number of overs (often 55) to score more runs than the other side.
