The competitor is expected to wear a one-piece costume. They are allowed to wear a short-sleeved, collarless T-shirt underneath their costume. Trunks can be worn over the costume, with the maximum width of the belt being 120mm at its widest point. A weightlifter’s boot cannot have a sale projecting from the shoe by more than 5mm at any point, and the maximum height of the shoe measured from the top of the sale must be 130mm.
