Court
The playing surface can be made of grass clay, varieties of concrete and carpet. It is divided by white lines which are part of the official playing area. The lines denote the left and right service court, the backcourt, the baseline, the service line, the singles sideline and doubles sideline. It is 78ft long, 27ft wide for singles and 36ft for doubles.
