Awarded to the team that has been fouled. It is normally taken from the area in which the foul occurred. The penalty kick can be taken as a kick, a drop kick or a scrum. A penalty kick can be taken by any player on the attacking team. The kicker’s team must be behind the ball when it is kicked, and the opposition must be at least 11yd from the kick spot.
