Sport: Men's Gymnastics - Parallel Bars

Once the hips are above the shoulders in the upswing, the arms are bent with the elbows rotating forward and outward. The gymnast continues to swing forward with the arms lowering the shoulders on to the bars, which push the elbows downward and outward. In the next stage, the gymnast moves into a dish shape with the head in a position to be able to see the feet, while the hands are moved to regrasp the bars so that the body can go from a high shoulder support position into a downswing.
