Penalty stroke

Awarded to the attacking team when they have been intentionally fouled in the circle. The ball is placed 7yd away from goal on a marked penalty spot, and a designated attacker attempts to score against the goalkeeper. The attacking player is allowed only one stroke, which can be a scoop, push or flick – but not a hit.
