Christmas tree

The name given to the lighting system used to start the race. It has five yellow lights that flash at half-second intervals, leading to a green sixth light that will signal the start of the race. There is a red seventh light, that will come on if a car advances too early. If this happens, the driver is automatically disqualified from the race.
