Free walkover

(Sport: Women's Gymnastics)

Definition

Starts in the same way as the free cartwheel. The gymnast makes a strong push from the floor and an upward thrust with the legs. The arms should be swung downward and backward to assist the lift upward. When learning this move, a gymnast can use a springboard for assistance.
