The clean(Sport: Weightlifting)
The barbell is placed horizontally in front of the lifter's legs. The lifter then grips the bar palms down, and in a continuous movement lifts the barbell from the platform to the shoulders without making any contact with their body. They are allowed to split or bend their legs while doing this. Once the lift has been completed the lifter must stand erect their feet on a line parallel with the bar.
