Grip

(Sport: Tug-of-War)

Definition

The rope has to be taut from the very start of the contest, and every pulling member has to hold the rope with both bare hands. Therefore, the palms of both hands face up and the rope passes between the body and the upper part of the arm. The feet must be extended forward of the knees, and team members need to be in a pulling position at all times.
