Fault

Definition

A fault is called when the rules of play are broken. A point is lost by failing to hit the ball before it has bounced twice, hitting the ball out of the court, failing to hit the ball over the net (a player is allowed to play the ball around the net), hitting the ball more than once (deliberately or otherwise), if a player touches the net, ball or net post, or hits the ball by projecting the racket.
