Definition

A class of shooting for bolt-action 7.62mm or .303in-caliber rifle of customary design, in British and Commonwealth competitions. Slings and handstops are permitted, and backsights may be fitted for horizontal and vertical adjustment. Tubular foresights are added. Shooting consists of 7, 10 or 15 shots plus two sighters at 200-1,000 yards (183-914m) from the prone position.
