Teams(Sport: Cross Country Running)
Cross-country races are normally organized as team competitions over and above individual competition. Regulations differ regarding the number of teams, reserves and number of runners who can score depending on the event. A standard guide is the IAAF cross country championship ruling, which states "For men's races a team cannot enter more than 12 competitors, with no fewer than six and no more than nine permitted to start, only six of whom will score points for the team. For women's races, junior men's and women's races, no more than eight competitors can enter and no fewer than four. No more than six of these are permitted to start, of whom four can score points."
