Boundary line

(Sport: Cricket)


The line, normally forming an oval shape, that defines the limits of the playing area. If the batsman hits the ball across this line, the team is awarded four runs. If the batsman strikes the ball over the boundary without it hitting the ground at any point, then he scores six runs.
